Let’s face it, visiting a new church is so chaotic. So many questions, so many unknowns. Don’t worry, we want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Here is some info to help you connect into the Journey.
Come as you are. If you are a “jeans” type of person, wear jeans. If you like to dress up, feel free to. We value “being real”, so please be yourself. BTW – our pastor wears jeans.
The Church is not a building. We are the Church, and we gather for these reasons: to worship corporately, to hear from God, to be equipped and sent, and to share our journey with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We have ministries available for children during our Sunday morning gathering. Parents can check their children in starting at 10 am. We have a nursery (2 and under), preschool (3 through K), and elementary (First grade through Sixth grade) ministries. The nursery is located off the foyer. The preschool classroom is located upstairs in the education wing, last room on the right. The elementary age worship center is downstairs. One Sunday a quarter we have a Family Worship experience so that our elementary aged children can worship with their parents in the Sanctuary. If you have any questions, please see Missy@Journeynaz.com.
Response time has become an integral part of our gatherings. At the end of our gatherings, we will have a time of responding to God. Please be free to respond as God leads including any of the ways of responding listed below.
One way that we worship at Journey is through music. Our desire is not to perform for you, but for you to participate with us. Please join with us as we worship. Don’t worry if you don’t know the songs, you’ll pick them up quickly. Some people describe our musical style as “organic” or “acoustic”.
Communion is open to all believers and those that would like to begin their journey of following Jesus. Communion stations are set up at various places depending on the theme of our service, but most weeks there is a station set up in the back of the sanctuary. While we usually partake in communion during the response time, please feel free to worship as God leads.
All of our teachings are based on Scripture. We encourage you to bring a Bible to our gatherings. Please let us know if you don’t have a Bible, we would be honored to give you one. Pastor Paul usually uses the NIV or CEB (Common English Bible) translations during the teachings.
An offering is taken during our gatherings for those that have covenanted with Journey Naz to support the Mission of the Church. If you are visiting with us, please do not feel any pressure from us to give financially.
